1. Who We Are
Foundry & Fur LLC is an independently owned small business based in Waxhaw, North Carolina, United States, specializing in handcrafted pet-themed designs, gifts, keepsakes, and memorial products. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, share, protect, and retain customer information received through foundryandfur.com and related order communications.
2. Information I Receive
When you place an order or contact me, I may receive your name, shipping and billing details, email address, order details and purchase history; personalization instructions, pet names, photographs, artwork and files submitted for custom products; and messages related to your order. Website services may also collect device, browser, usage and cookie information. I use this information only as reasonably necessary to fulfill orders, provide customer service and operate my business. Payments are processed through the payment services connected to the website. I do not receive or store complete payment card numbers or security codes. Wix and other service providers may independently process information under their own privacy policies.
3. How I Use Your Information
I use customer information to create, personalize and fulfill orders; communicate about purchases, design proofs and customization; arrange shipping and provide delivery information; respond to questions; process replacements and refunds and resolve disputes; maintain business, financial and tax records; prevent fraud; and comply with applicable laws. I do not automatically subscribe purchasers to marketing emails or use their order information for unrelated promotional communications. I do not sell or rent customer personal information.
4. Customer Photographs and Personalization Files
Certain products require photographs, pet names, artwork or other personalization information. These materials are used to prepare designs, create personalized products, communicate about proofs and fulfill orders. Customer photographs and completed design files may also be retained for replacements, customer service and repeat-order requests, subject to Section 6. Customers may request deletion by contacting me. Requests will be reviewed and fulfilled as required by applicable law, subject to legitimate legal or business retention requirements.
Customer Photographs and Promotional Use
I will not use customer-submitted photographs or personalized designs directly derived from those photographs in product listings, advertising, social media posts, portfolios or other promotional materials without the customer's express permission. Permission is requested separately and is never a condition of purchasing a product.
5. Image Editing, Design Software, and AI-Assisted Processing
Customer photographs and artwork may be processed using design, photo-editing and production software, including Canva, xTool, Cricut and Krita, as necessary to fulfill personalized orders. Certain products may involve generative AI or AI-assisted processing, including artistic renderings such as colored-pencil-style portraits or enhancements when a photograph is unsuitable for production. When applicable, images may be processed using services such as ChatGPT, Canva's AI features, Google AI or Microsoft Copilot.
AI-assisted processing is used only when the purchased product specifically includes AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork as disclosed in the listing, OR when the original photograph requires AI-assisted enhancement or modification for a product that does not ordinarily involve AI and the customer has agreed to that processing. AI-assisted processing is not a routine part of every personalized order. Third-party software and AI providers may process or retain submitted information according to their own privacy practices and applicable account settings. I do not intentionally submit customer photographs or artwork for unrelated commercial purposes.
6. How Long I Keep Information
I retain customer information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Financial and transaction records are generally retained for seven years as a business recordkeeping practice, unless applicable law requires a different period. Customer photographs and personalization files are retained as reasonably necessary for fulfillment, replacements, customer service and potential repeat orders. No fixed retention period applies to customer photographs and personalization files; retention depends on the ongoing business need described above. Customers may request deletion as described in Sections 4 and 9. Customer communications are retained as reasonably necessary for customer service, dispute resolution and business records. Information maintained directly by service providers is subject to their own retention practices, which I do not control. Certain information may be retained longer for legal obligations or an ongoing dispute.
7. How I Share Information
I share information only when reasonably necessary to fulfill orders, provide services or comply with legal obligations. This may include Wix for website hosting and store operations; connected payment services for transaction processing; shipping carriers for delivery and tracking; design, editing, production, AI and storage providers when necessary to create personalized products under Section 5; Usercentrics for storing and managing cookie consent choices; and legal or tax authorities when required by law. I limit information shared to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose. Third parties may process information according to their own policies and agreements. I do not sell or rent customer personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
8. Payment Security and Data Protection
Connected payment services handle website payments. I do not receive or store complete payment card numbers or security codes. I take reasonable precautions to protect information under my control, including limiting access to information necessary for business operations. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your Privacy Rights
You may contact me to request information about personal data I maintain, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of eligible personal information or personalization files, or answers about how information is used or shared. I will review and respond in accordance with applicable law. Certain information may need to be retained for tax records, transaction documentation, legal obligations or disputes. For information independently collected or maintained by Wix or another provider, you may also need to contact that provider or use its privacy tools.
10. Cookies and Tracking
This website is hosted by Wix. Essential cookies and similar technologies support website operation, security, fraud prevention and shopping functions. We use Usercentrics for Wix to manage cookie choices. Optional functional, analytical and marketing categories are off by default in the consent banner. You may reject optional categories or select your preferences, and change your choices using the privacy settings control on the site. Wix analytics may collect browsing and usage information if you permit analytical cookies. We have not connected Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or Yandex tracking integrations. Blocking optional cookies may limit optional features; essential services remain necessary to operate the shop. Wix, Usercentrics and other service providers process information according to their own privacy practices. Browser settings also let you manage cookies, but blocking essential cookies may affect checkout or other store functions.
11. Children's Privacy
This shop is intended for adult purchasers. I do not knowingly solicit or independently collect personal information directly from children under 16. If I become aware that I have received a child's personal information without appropriate authorization, I will take reasonable steps to address the situation, including deletion where appropriate.
12. Geographic Availability
Foundry & Fur LLC operates in the United States and currently ships only to eligible U.S. destinations, as indicated at checkout. I do not currently offer international shipping or specifically market products to customers outside the United States. If operations or shipping availability change, this policy may be updated.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this policy to reflect changes in business practices, services or applicable legal requirements. The last-updated date identifies the most recent revision. Updates will apply prospectively where appropriate and will not eliminate rights or obligations arising under prior versions.
